Dear Pat,
How do I go about finding a spiritual teacher?

Dear SEARCHING,
There is an old saying, 'When the student is ready the teacher
will appear'. When you know how to ask the right questions then
you can receive enlightened answers from your mailman, your
mother, or the town drunk. Decide what you want to learn. Then
begin living a life that demonstrates your awareness of that
learning. If you manage to do that, you'll find teachers popping
up like mushrooms after a spring rain.

Dear Pat,
In the Bible we are warned against sorcery. You may not realize
it, but you are on a direct path to hell. If you accept the
Lord Jesus, you will find something much more powerful than
the powers you now have which have been granted to you by Satan.

ANOTHER ANONYMOUS LETTER
|
 |
 |
Dear ANONYMOUS,
Thank you for your kind concern. I have read the Bible completely
through several times and I find it a book of great beauty.
Yet you will pardon me if I do not agree with your idea that
my abilities come from Satan.
I was born with these abilities. It makes as much sense to
say that God gave them to me or that God made me right-handed
or the Devil made me tone-deaf. Does God give me my ability
to learn languages and the Devil make me lousy at math?
If there is evil in the world, it is not there as a result
of our talents. Evil or good might better be described as
a result of the way we use or misuse those talents. I agree
with Saint Paul. (Perhaps you've heard of him?) He said, 'Neglect
not these gifts that are in thee, of prophecy and the laying
on of hands...'
